I purchased this cd a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it so much that I purchased an extra copy. One of my favorite cuts is the one that he performs with the late hip-hop artist, Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes".
Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkk I was at his Concert in Minneapolis MN, In the spring 08 and My Guy and I was right up front listen to him and he was Jaming but I really think when you been out the limelight for a longtime and then start back Touring Cities, Practice Practice, He's voice Crack So Bad that people Just Looked at Him Like whattttttttttttt. We Love Him but everytime he sing that one Song I wont never for get his voice Crackin. Baddddddddddddddddddddd.
the album [where i wanna be]is the very best album ever this albm is the real bomb this is the best album he has ever made and will always be the best album he will ever make this is the only album i have of his because it is the best other then this album he sucks for real this album here is an A+ FOR EVER.
This CD is highly underated as it flows nicely with catchy beats and lyrics from start to end. Driving Music.
Jones really was feeling this album. He is almost to chill on this record. You could really tell by listening to this album once, that Mr. This was the Donell Jones album where everyone got introduced to him. And then he does his first REAL baby maker with "I Wanna Luv U", its just a real chill love song. But that works for him and against him to.
He doesnt test the waters very much, he just sticks to what he knows hes good at.
He doesnt really push the limits at all, and basically sticks to mid to slow jam songs.
But he does have some really good slow jams on this album like the accoustic guitar laid back song "This Luv", its just a real chill song.
With the smash hit "You Know Whats Up" which actually was one the songs i didnt like on the album, but none the less, that song is what made him popular.
I am not saying by any means that this isnt a good album, but thats what kept this album from being a classic like Life Goes On.
He doesnt really even attempt to do a club song at all on this album.
This album is just a real chill & relaxed album.
And then he does a couple of baby makers in the form of a more mid tempo sexy song with "It's Alright" which is a classic Donell track.
Overall this is a great album, from a great artist.Grade:B+
